Cyfrin
Tech Lead · Sr. Full Stack Engineer
- Built Cygent, an AI security engineer for protocol teams. It reads pull requests, finds exploit paths, checks that fixes still hold at release time, and filters bug bounty submissions. It runs inside GitHub, Slack and CI. Shipped to production users, now in live beta.
- Wrote the autonomous agent framework behind it from scratch on top of the OpenAI, Anthropic and OpenRouter APIs. Spent most of that time on the parts that decide whether an AI tool gets used: false positive rates, latency budgets, context window management, and the eval harness that says whether a change actually helped.
- Scaled Cyfrin Updraft from zero to 250,000 engineers as an early engineer, leading full stack work across the product.
- Built the video pipeline, including a custom HLS player with adaptive quality switching, captions and per-course access control, serving thousands of concurrent learners a day.
- Engineered subscriptions, trials and payments end to end, which became the core of how the platform makes money.
- Built proctored certification, assessments, the jobs board, and the in-app assistant that helps learners when they get stuck.
- Built a custom CLI for content management and shared UI libraries across a large monorepo.
- Led architecture decisions, performance work and code review across the engineering org.
